Back in November, during a congress that I photgraphed in China, I had the pleasure to meet Hon. David Anderson, former minister of environment in Canada. During a recent asignment in Canada we met again and I managed to pull him in front of my lens in a freezing Montreal business park. I kept it extremely simple by just putting an umbrella almost overhead with a Nikon SB-800 and the ambient prox. minus 1,5 stops. The snow helped with the fill light. The ambient is not the most fantastic but acceptable given the time scheme and temperature
Nikon D700 with 14-24mm/f2.8 @ 17mm. Think it worked out nice….

Journalist Jeroen van der Weijden, friend and collegue, has opened up a small bar in the centre of San Pedro de Alcantara (just passed Marbella). It has a bit of a jazz-theme to it and asked me if I could do a few pics to enhance that. He wants to put up 5 large photos on his wall above the bar. Measuring 150cm x 50 cm. I shot this one with Marta and model Milena after a make-up shoot in the house/studio where we always work for the book. Having Billy Holiday in mind and that era, I think it worked out nice, think it’s going to be impressive in that size….

This is one of the shots me and makeup artist Marta Guillen did a while ago with Milena. We are working on a makeup book and this is one of the end shots. I really like that 70tees look with her beautiful Motown afro. We did plenty more shots that I will show in some time….
